She's Engaged!

I guess its official now, my sister Jen is engaged! She is marrying a boy from Escalante. They met in high school when Jen spent a semester there playing volleyball and living with my grandparents, but then when she moved back there a while back, well, i guess the rest is history! He is an amazing guy and we are so excited to have him in our family. It is so awesome that things have turned out so well, and we are so excited for Jen. They are going to get married on August 31st so its gonna be a crazy summer planning a wedding and me planning to start nursing school which is a whole other stress in and of itself! I kind of know now why there are a shortage of nurses! hee hee Well, I hope everyone is happy and doing well and p.s. my hair is finally normal thank goodness!

Hair Disaster!

Well, my theory for the week is when it rains, it pours! I just had a bad, stressful week and was so looking forward to the weekend. I had been wanting to dye my hair dark and get rid of the blonde, just cause I wanted a change and my roots were about halfway down my head, not cute... anyways, I decided to go to Mastercuts in Superstition Springs Mall to get it done. The lady put the color on my hair and started working on another lady sitting next to me, who was also getting the same thing done. Her's ended up turning out good so I wasn't too worried but as I sat there my hair kept getting darker and darker and I was getting worried. She finally got back to me and washed my hair out and when I sat back down I almost started crying! My hair was almost completely black and I looked gothic! Then I started looking closer and there were parts of my hair that weren't dyed and it was SOO blochy! The lady told me there was a ring around the back that hadn't been covered well and she said to let it fade and to come back in and she would fix it. Why you ask did she let me walk out of there? Beats me... So then I got home and my roommate looked at it too, I called my sister in a panic (who I should have let do it in the first place!) and she told me to get some uncolor that takes out the dye... we did that and then recolored my hair. Well, its almost better, I have to dye it one more time cause it is still a little blotchy but my scalp has to heal cause it got burnt by the uncolor. So glad this week is over, sorry about more pity party but wow! Good news is I went back to the place and got a refund! Hope everybody is healthy and happy!

Kind of a Crappy Day!

I usually try to be positive and have a happy outlook on life but I'm not gonna lie, today sucked! Everyone was so cranky at work, which we all had a right to be, because the vice president, the trainer, and another chick from our main credit union office came and cleaned everything but they moved everything without telling us where it went and that is so frustrating, it was fine the way it was before but apparently the people who work for SunWest have nothing better to do than micro-manage us all to DEATH! I am so glad I get to quit when I start nursing school, cause I have definitely made my mind up about that. So I guess it does make these bad days a little easier because the end is in sight. I just hate that I have a job that I don't love, every day I wake up and absolutely dread I going to work, so hopefully the next job I have I will love and be excited to do. Sorry about all the negative stuff, guess I just needed to vent a little! But I hope that life is good for everyone and if you ever need someone to vent to, call me! I know how you feel!
I was the opposite of this today! haha

The BIG 2-1!

Well, I'm officially an adult now! I turned 21 today and it has been such a good birthday so far! My mom was down for a training on Thursday and Friday so she took me shopping and to dinner, so it was cool to get to spend it with her, and its cool to celebrate your birthday for like a week! Yesterday we went floating down the Salt River(probably the first time of many this summer, its so fun!) After we got done there, we came home and got ready and went to a comedy club called Jesterz, It was amazing, and I laughed so hard. It is an improv thing so they don't rehearse anything and it makes it even that much funnier! We got done with that around 11:30 and what is the one thing you have to do when you turn 21? Hello, gamble... just kidding but I decided I wanted to be sinner and try it just because I could, so we stopped at Casino Arizona and we had to wait a few minutes outside the door until midnight. There was a security guard at the door checking I.D.'s and so I went up and handed her mine and said, "That just happened a minute ago!" Pointing to the date where it said I was 21. She laughed and said she was wondering why we were waiting outside the door, and then she said she wouldn't have let me in until midnight! It was hilarious, but then we went into the casino and there was NOT ONE slot machine open! We walked around the whole place trying to find one and there were even lines behind some of them, it was ridiculous... I can't believe that many people are like hard core gamblers! So we gave up and went and bought a lottery ticket! This birthday has been so awesome so we are gonna eat cake later ( I decided I get the real, sugary kind on my birthday!) But I have a good feeling that my 21st year is gonna be an AMAZING one!

The Everyday Life!

Not too much has happened the last little while, but I guess I'll just update on the little things! Last week I got to go to Utah to watch Emilee's kids while her and Dallas got away to regain their sanity! ha ha Those kids are a handful but they are so fun right now. Westyn, her oldest, is too smart for his own britches, and Treyson is starting to talk so well and his smile is the cutest thing ever, it makes me laugh every time, and Makyndie thinks she is twenty years old and she tries so hard to keep up with her older brothers and when you try and hold her back, oooh the fit she throws! So I went to Escalante instead of Cannonville where Emilee lives so Jen and my grandparents could help me watch them, good thing cause I don't think I could have done it on my own! It was one exhausting weekend! I love hanging out with my family though, and I was glad I got to go cause I wasn't able to go this weekend for Memorial Day! Jen and Carson are doing so well, Carson is growing up so fast and he LOVES hanging out with his "brothers" (thats what he calls his cousins Westyn and Treyson) It was a long drive home and I hated to leave but unfortunately the bills have to be paid! So this weekend I set Danielle up on a blind date with a guy that I work with and she said she had a good time... so maybe my matchmaking skills are amazing? Who knows? I also got to hang out with my roommate from Thatcher, Whitney. She is leaving on her mission in a couple of weeks and she is so awesome! I love catching up with old friends, reliving memories is the best! Well, I hope everybody is doing great, summer is here and I am excited! Oh, and a little update, my toe is all healed, its crooked, but its all healed, it was a little touch and go for awhile but we didn't end up having to amputate! Just Kidding!

I've been tagged too!

All right, I am probably like the last one to do this so if you haven't been tagged, consider yourself so, like Taytum said! Here are seven weird things about me:

1) I love to clean! It is a stress relief for me and I guess the weird part is that I HATE it when people help me. I have to do it a certain way, and it drives me crazy when its not done like I like it. It's the first thing I do when I get home from work!

2) I love taking pictures, it drives me crazy when something cool happens and I don't have my camera with me, and the funny thing is that I usually DON'T have my camera with me!

3) I think I was supposed to be the boy in my family cause I love wearing jeans and T-shirts all the time, I could live in a tent and be perfectly happy, and life would be heavenly without make-up and all the other jazz we have to put up with. I am definitely the tom boy of the family and usually the one that is underdressed for the occasion!

4) I broke the third toe on my right foot the other day in the swimming pool, how do you break your third toe? That was weird...

5) I can roll my tongue three times, lots of other people can do that too, but I still think its cool that I have a weird talent!

6) I am diabetic and I could probably eat chocolate all day long, so its a daily struggle to resist, and sometimes I just give in and take a shot!

7) I am completely amazed and intrigued by the human body and the way it works and diseases that plague it and ways to heal it... go figure since I'm gonna be a nurse!

Small Town Life is the Best Life!

I got to go to St. Johns a couple weeks ago to do Kelsey's hair for Prom. Sounds like a long way to drive just for that, but to a sixteen year old your Junior Prom is like the most important thing in the world! Needless to say, I got a lot of crap from my boss at work for taking the afternoon off to get there in time. Why do bosses have to go on little power trips, like their the God of Credit Unions? So lame! Anyways, it was really fun, it made it feel like it was mine again, weird to think it has been so long since mine!

It's starting to get sooo hot down here in the Valley, I think I am going to melt this summer, hopefully it will melt off all the places I want to melt off anyways...hee hee! But I am really excited for summer, there is so much to do! I love floating down the Salt River, best time ever so if you ever get a chance to do it, DO IT! It's going to be hard to sit inside and work all summer cause I love to be outside playing, even though I'll probably think differently when its 120 degrees! Hope everyone is healthy and happy!
