I was born in a small town...

I got to spend the weekend in St. Johns and it was good to be home, I haven't been there in awhile! It was weird because my parents are the only ones home now since Kelsey decided to fly the coop(how do you spell that?!) early... She is in Escalante living with my grandparents for her Senior year, i thought she was crazy but she loves it there. I got "Taytum Time" while I was there, I always love going to get pepsi's at the station and catchin up on all the gossip with her! Thanks Taytum (and Trevor for letting me steal her!) We watched the homecoming football game and St. Johns KILLED Pinon... surprise, surprise! They scored a touchdown in like the first five seconds so we pretty much knew the outcome by then... Then Saturday I just sat around and watched movies with my mom, how cute! It was nice to relax knowing I didn't have a test to study for. P.S. I got to wear a sweater and I was excited!
Kam, I just read your blog about your one year anniversary and found this picture! Congrats on a year!

~Yay for Fall!~

Hmm... I love fall in Mesa! Even though I think it still in the 90's outside, I swear my body knows its fall cause this time of year just feels dofferent! I love when it starts to get cold outside and you freeze your buns off at a SJ football game, and you get to rake all the leaves(palm tree leaves in Mesa), and you get to wear big hoodie sweaters! I don't know about anyone else, but this time of year all I want to do is make yummy treats and do crafts... is that weird? So I wish that there was more to update on but my life is kinda the same o, same o... school and tests and school... I think its more fun to have a post with a picture, so here are a few. (The one with me and Danielle was at the Rascal Flatts concert, umm, amazing!)

Liston, Party of One... AGAIN!

Well, it's true, I am a single woman again. Damon and I broke up. There were just too many things that were different between us and it just wasn't working out. We did have a lot of fun while we dated but we both knew it wasn't going anywhere... Oh relationships! School is going really well, keeps me pretty darn busy but I got A's on my first two tests, so hopefully it will be possible to keep that up! I am excited to get through school and be done though...(Listen to me saying that in the first semester of school, that's probably not a good thing! hee hee) Well, I hope everyone is healthy and happy and life is good!

Time flies when your havin' fun!

Well, I apologize for not updating in awhile, I started school and barely have time to breath most of the time. Jen got married this last weekend so between that and school and boys , i mean boy, I don't have too much time to myself. So if it takes me a couple of days to answer phone calls and stuff please don't feel bad, my mom is lucky if she hears from me! I make it sound like its so bad, it's really not but I felt like being a little bit of a drama queen. So the update on me and Damon. Everything is going along just fine, we have been dating now for a little over a month. He still spoils me rotten and tells me I'm the boss (I'm pretty sure that's the way its supposed to be but at least he admits it!) He went to Utah with me for Jen's wedding and met my family. It was weird how well he fit in. He has something in common with everyone and at Jen's reception everyone thought he was a relative of Emilee's husband...weird, but funny since it seems like me and Emilee have always been kind of the same and then Jen and Kelsey are always alike and they are dating (and Jen is married) to brothers! We had a really good time though and we both had a really hard time coming home to the rush and the heat of the city. It made matters worse when he called me the next day and his brother had gotten in a wreck in his truck and a car he lets his parents use was sitting outside the house and a drunk driver ran into it and totaled it! Not a happy return from vacation! But it was a really fun trip and Jen looked SO awesome, definitely a Cinderella dream wedding! Well, here are some cute pics from our trip, let me know what you think!

It's almost here!

Well, this summer has been so crazy trying to get ready for nursing school and now I start Monday! This summer flew by so fast and I can't believe its time to start. I bought my books yesterday and almost peed my pants! They cost about $700 and one of the guys in the bookstore had to wheel them out to my car on a little dolly cause there is about 15 of them that are all about 5 or 6 inches thick. I was having some serious cold feet and really questioning if I wanted to actually do this or not! But I know I just need to take it a day at a time cause I don't have to know all that stuff tomorrow... Damon said he is going to get smarter by osmosis, its his favorite joke to tell people. I guess I better give everybody an update on that. Just to tell you a little bit about him. He is 31, (yep I am dating an old fart...) He owns his own business that used to be his dad's, he is a general contractor, just kinda does a little bit of everything, and he is pretty much the sweetest guy ever! My last day at work he sent me a huge bouquet of lilies (he knows they are my favorite!) and we went to his nieces birthday party after I got off and then he took me to dinner. Yesterday he got an appointment for me to get a manicure and pedicure and paid for it... Yeah I feel pretty lucky! He spoils me rotten and its hard to do anything for him cause then he thinks he has to pay it back like ten fold! He always says, "I don't get even, I get ahead!" I hope everybody is doing good and loving life.. it's AMAZING! Oh, and I will put some pictures of us as soon as I can get Damon to take another one cause the only one I have is not so good...

Liston- Party of Two?

Wow I haven't updated in a really long time, probably because not too much has happened, and I am pretty sure no one wants to read about dumb things like that I tried a new kind of cereal for breakfast... But the 24th was fun just like everyone else said, I mean how could it not be? So awesome to finally be getting everyone home off their missions and to be able to hang like the good ole times again. It was a busy weekend for me, doing things to get scholarships for school and getting shots up to date so I could start school :-( But nonetheless, it was so nice to get away from the heat and the city and spend some time with family and friends. Well, to explain the title of this blog, me and this guy who is a member of the credit union that I work at, have been flirting it up for about the whole time I have been working there, and I have had a little crush on him for awhile now. Anyways, last week he got my phone number and called me the next day and we ended up talking on the phone for about six hours and we planned a date for the next day (he made me dinner, it was really good!) Well, ever since then we have hung out every night and I guess we are dating now? Woo Hoo! I never thought I would see the day... Just jokin! He is a really awesome guy and comes from a family of ten brothers and sisters, which makes him a mormon of course... ha ha His name is Damon and really we are just having fun getting to now each other( you know how that goes when you first start dating someone... "so what's your favorite color? favorite movie? etc...) Hope everyone is doing well and life is happy. Here are some cute pics from the 24th!

Day after Day...

Kind of a boring and uneventful week this past week! It was weird to celebrate the fourth of July right in the middle of the week, I swear when I was little it was always on a weekend!(That's probably because I didn't have a job so every day was a weekend!) I had Wednesday off but its not like you can really go on vacation so me and my roommate decided to just have a little barbeque. Bethany's brother and his fiance were here so they came over and a friend from our ward and we just went and ate by the pool ( at like seven and it was still 110 degrees...) then we went to the fireworks at that Christian church on Lindsay and Brown, they were ok but not the best fireworks show I have ever been to cause they were kinda long... but overall a nice day off! In other news, wedding plans are in full swing for Jen and trying to get all my stuff together to start nursing school, so life is definitely busy... student loans here I come! I register for classes this Wednesday so I'm a little nervous but really excited to get started. I'm ready to get school done and be working in a job and career that I love. By the way, is anyone else so freakin excited for the 24th of July celebration? And one more thing, Happy 17th Birthday to my little sister, Kelsey, she is such an awesome girl (and a little secret, she is dating Jennifer's fiance's little brother, isn't that precious?)
