Three More Weeks!

Yep, only three weeks left of my first semester in nursing school! I don't think I could be more excited... I nice long one month break should be just the thing I need! Plus, I am so excited for next semester because its our Pediatric/ OB rotations and I want to go into labor and delivery when I get done so its gonna be a blast! (and a nice change from working at the nursing home, you can only change so many of those diapers before you really want to die... or gag.)

This last weekend Charlie came down and stayed with me so we could go to Aubrie's last game and for her baby shower. We had so much fun catchin up with the girls! (Thanks Bailey for driving, did you ever go get a refund from Jack-In-The-Box... the big jerks didn't give us our food!) Charlie got a lot of cute stuff and we all had a good time.

I wish there was more to tell, but that's pretty much my life... I'm looking forward to the holidays and getting to see my nieces and nephews, they are TOO FAR AWAY!

"Brick Wall Shar"

So this weekend I had all intentions of getting so much studying done for the two tests I have coming up this next week but of course a lot of fun things come up and the good student that I am thinks, "hmm, I'll just do it later!" Well, that's what I did! Taytum called me Saturday and said the volleyball team was playing for the state championship and so we ate and then headed out to Peoria for the game... The girls played so hard but lost (of course to one of those dumb private Christian schools that get to recruit, don't get me started!) and I relived every anxiety and pressure I had ever felt playing volleyball in high school. I miss it so much! As we were driving back to Mesa, I remembered this one really intense game we played against Mogollon. Our team was playing really well and I had stuffed a few volleyballs in a few girls faces, and the crowd was amazing, which of course helped our team play even better... so I had just blocked a ball and the crowd had cheered and kinda died down and just as it got kinda quiet, Blake Gray stood up and shouted at the top of his lungs "Brick Wall Shar!" Ok, so of course I turned bright red and everyone looks at him and then looks at me... um embarrassing, but so funny! We won that game and it was probably one of the best games we ever played! Congratulations to the St. Johns High Volleyball team for being the State runner-ups! ( It has been quite a few years since that has been done!)

State Fair

This weekend was pretty fun, I got set up on a blind date to go to the state fair, I don't think there were any sparks flying but we had fun! My friend Mindy that goes to school with me, her brother-in-law is the one I went with, he just got off a mission about a month ago, he is one skinny boy! Well, other than that not too much is going on, time is flying and we only have six weeks left of our first semester of nursing school! I have two tests the week after next so hopefully that will turn out ok! I hope everyone is doing well, its gettin colder and colder down here! I think Christmas will be here before we know it...

I was born in a small town...

I got to spend the weekend in St. Johns and it was good to be home, I haven't been there in awhile! It was weird because my parents are the only ones home now since Kelsey decided to fly the coop(how do you spell that?!) early... She is in Escalante living with my grandparents for her Senior year, i thought she was crazy but she loves it there. I got "Taytum Time" while I was there, I always love going to get pepsi's at the station and catchin up on all the gossip with her! Thanks Taytum (and Trevor for letting me steal her!) We watched the homecoming football game and St. Johns KILLED Pinon... surprise, surprise! They scored a touchdown in like the first five seconds so we pretty much knew the outcome by then... Then Saturday I just sat around and watched movies with my mom, how cute! It was nice to relax knowing I didn't have a test to study for. P.S. I got to wear a sweater and I was excited!

~Yay for Fall!~

Hmm... I love fall in Mesa! Even though I think it still in the 90's outside, I swear my body knows its fall cause this time of year just feels dofferent! I love when it starts to get cold outside and you freeze your buns off at a SJ football game, and you get to rake all the leaves(palm tree leaves in Mesa), and you get to wear big hoodie sweaters! I don't know about anyone else, but this time of year all I want to do is make yummy treats and do crafts... is that weird? So I wish that there was more to update on but my life is kinda the same o, same o... school and tests and school... I think its more fun to have a post with a picture, so here are a few. (The one with me and Danielle was at the Rascal Flatts concert, umm, amazing!)

Liston, Party of One... AGAIN!

Well, it's true, I am a single woman again. Damon and I broke up. There were just too many things that were different between us and it just wasn't working out. We did have a lot of fun while we dated but we both knew it wasn't going anywhere... Oh relationships! School is going really well, keeps me pretty darn busy but I got A's on my first two tests, so hopefully it will be possible to keep that up! I am excited to get through school and be done though...(Listen to me saying that in the first semester of school, that's probably not a good thing! hee hee) Well, I hope everyone is healthy and happy and life is good!

Time flies when your havin' fun!

Well, I apologize for not updating in awhile, I started school and barely have time to breath most of the time. Jen got married this last weekend so between that and school and boys , i mean boy, I don't have too much time to myself. So if it takes me a couple of days to answer phone calls and stuff please don't feel bad, my mom is lucky if she hears from me! I make it sound like its so bad, it's really not but I felt like being a little bit of a drama queen. So the update on me and Damon. Everything is going along just fine, we have been dating now for a little over a month. He still spoils me rotten and tells me I'm the boss (I'm pretty sure that's the way its supposed to be but at least he admits it!) He went to Utah with me for Jen's wedding and met my family. It was weird how well he fit in. He has something in common with everyone and at Jen's reception everyone thought he was a relative of Emilee's husband...weird, but funny since it seems like me and Emilee have always been kind of the same and then Jen and Kelsey are always alike and they are dating (and Jen is married) to brothers! We had a really good time though and we both had a really hard time coming home to the rush and the heat of the city. It made matters worse when he called me the next day and his brother had gotten in a wreck in his truck and a car he lets his parents use was sitting outside the house and a drunk driver ran into it and totaled it! Not a happy return from vacation! But it was a really fun trip and Jen looked SO awesome, definitely a Cinderella dream wedding!
