Amazing Date, Amazing Man!

Last night Jaron took me on an amazing date! He has been talking about it for a couple weeks but he wouldn't tell me anything that we were doing so I have been so excited to see what he was up to! Well, it was more amazing than I even expected...

He said I had to be ready at exactly four thirty sharp. So he picked me and we started out with a delicious dinner at Charleston's, that place is really cool and the food is yummy.

After dinner, we got back in the car and he told me I had to close my eyes because I couldn't know where we were going. I think he drove way out of his way to get where we ended up because I had no idea! He put on some music when we arrived at our destination and he said, "I'll give you one guess what we are doing." The music he played was Jon Schmidt, he is an amazing pianist and we had talked awhile back about wanting to go. I guessed that and I was right! I saw him perform at an EFY I went to in high school and I knew how cool he was so I was so excited! The concert was absolutely fantastic! He is such an awesome performer, he can have you laughing hysterically one second and crying the next. He also had a cello-ist(don't know how you spell that) that was hilarious.

I think the coolest part about the concert was that he had this family come up on stage and they all introduced themselves and then he asked the mom what she did for a living and she said that she was a stay-at-home mom and that her husband was serving in Iraq so she could be at home with her kids. Then Jon Schmidt was talking to the kids and asking them when there dad was coming home and they said next Wednesday. Then Jon says,"What if I told you someone had come home today?" Just as he said that there dad walked out on stage... The mom had arranged it a couple weeks back to surprise her kids with their dad being home early. It was so awesome. Everyone stood up and clapped (and cried) for I swear ten minutes. It was really neat to be a part of. (the crazy hair wig was for this bumble bee tuna song that he gets all in to and he said he wears the wig so he can pound on the piano with his head harder. It was so funny!

So after already being swept off my feet for the evening, it got even better... We got back in the car and once again I had to shut my eyes until we got to our next destination. So we park and Jaron hands me my phone and tells me I can open my eyes when he calls me. So kinda scary I am sitting alone in his car with my eyes closed and I have no idea where I am and it took forever for him to call! He finally did and I opened my eyes and I was at his house, so I walk up to his door and he says, "welcome to Christmas." I walk in and this is what I see...

The pictures don't do it very much justice because it was all candlelit and there was music playing... Oh man it was romantic! We ate cheesecake and drank sparkling cider and then I opened my presents from Jaron. It was a magical evening, definitely one I will never forget. Jaron thanks for planning such an awesome night. I love you!

P.S. Yes Peyton Manning is a resident in Jaron's living room!

Been Awhile?

Hmm... I almost forgot how to use this thing! It has been a busy, crazy little while! I have been running around with football, school, and work with a little bit of play... School is going good, we just got done with our med-surg half of the semester and now we are starting psych, yeah I'm not gonna lie, a little nervous! We picked our clinical places for Block 4 the other day... so crazy! Graduation here I come!
Jaron has been busy with football, they are now 4-4 for the season and start playoffs here shortly... it has been pretty fun to watch him do that, he is really good with the boys. One of the coaches daughters drew pictures with me the other day at practice and then at the game on saturday she came over and we took pictures together.. oh my gosh she is ADORABLE! One of the mom's on the team also makes these amazing huge signs every week that the boys get to run through after half time, its pretty neat! The other day we went and had pumpkin carving night at Shaela's house, its always fun to hang out with my nursing girls not at school! Here are some fun pics!

Cute little Allie trying to find a good pumpkin to carve...
Nick was nice enough to haul all of our pumpkins!

Shaela is always good for a photo shoot!

This is Jaron!

So like, yeah, this is Jaron. I decided to invade Sharla's little online life and put a little blurb on here by ME! I thought an insiders perspective on Sharla the nursin' student might be interesting to some of ya. She is just plain amazing. (wow, that was original...) But honestly though, I dont know how she does it. I look at the books and terms she has to learn and I am either confused or grossed out. ;) Sharla was born to do what she is doing. Deep inside her, I have witnessed a Christlike compassion for others placed in Sharla by an all knowing Father in Heaven whocould see it benifiting His afflicted children through one of His divine daughters. I am just lucky to say I love her. Anyways, my little Pop Warner football team of 11-13 year old boys called the Horsemen are 2-0. We won an amazing game on Sep 13. It came down to sudden death overtime and we were able to block an extra point on the last play of the game. It was honestly the funnest thing to be a part of in along time. But the best part was my beautiful fiance showing up in the 4th quarter to catch the extemely emotional ending. I didnt see her til after, and the crowd parted and there she was. Now thats how you make a guy happy! Told ya, I am just lucky to say I love her.

The Horsemen are the team in the gold helmets. These pics are taken by the cuttest photographer I know. ;)

This is a picture taken right after the game I mentioned above. I thought it looked pretty cool.

Hello again!

Well I finally got some pictures to post and a little update! These pictures are from the 24th of July... just a little late I know! Things are good, school started again and I am in my third block of nursing school! I saw a girl in the hallway in scrubs and I asked what block she was in and she said her first and that it was her first week of school and then she asked me what block I was in and I said, "Im in block three." I walked away in amazement! It didn't seem real until that happened! I am so excited to be a nurse though! We have really good instructors this semester and I think its gonna be good... definitely a lot of information to remember though!

*Side Note: (Em found her old roller skates after begging my dad all weekend to get them out of the shed... she had fun and we had fun watching and making fun of her.. haha just jokin Em, I told you I was putting this on here!)

My mom came down for labor day weekend and we went dress shopping, no luck though.. try finding a dress with sleeves down here in the Valley, the selction is not so great... We did get a lot of stuff figured out though so it will be awesome!

Jaron had his first scrimmage a couple weeks ago and I thought his team did really well, his first game is this Saturday and I think they will do well, they have an amazing coach if I do say so myself! Other than that I think its just normal life and school as always!

Sad Days...

I don't know if anyone from St. Johns caught this on the news, if you didn't I'm sure the word has gotten around about the plane crash that happened in St. Johns over the weekend... my parents were in Utah with my sisters when it happened and my dad was pacing the floors to get home and luckily has a friend that flew him home on Sunday, it has been a long time since something like this has happened at our little airport and we wish it never would. The pilot died and this young couple are in the hospital fighting for there lives... Please keep them in your prayers, the link below is the news story about it.

We also lost a very good family friend on Sunday as well, it seems like when it rains it pours but that is also when the blessings seem to come too and the reality of the Gospel becomes so much more real and powerful, what a blessing to have such a gift!

Long Time?

I know I know, I have a lot of catching up to do! I was waiting to get the pictures off Jaron's camera of the 24th of July, but since that was almost a month ago and I still haven't gotten them, I guess I will at least give a little update... So I know I told everyone September 26th but don't save that date cause we are moving it back, we started to plan and realized it was gonna be a little more work than we had time for so we are going to set the date for some time in October, November... Craziness... Anyways, other than that life is busy and good, Applebees is not the funnest job in the world but what can you do? I can't wait til next summer when I will actually get to start a career! Lets deliver some babies!

I start school again on August 25th and I am nervous and scared a little for these next semesters cause stuff starts gettin intense and I'll learn about a lot of serious stuff! Its gonna be awesome though, I am excited too! Jaron started football practice August 4th and he is such a good coach, I went and watched his practice the other night and it was adorable! I'll have to get some good pictures of that!
