Lunch Date
I drove out to Queen Creek and got to meet Paxton for the first time! He is such a cutie! We went to Serrano's for lunch and it was awesome just to catch up. We called Bailey who lives pretty close and so we got to go see her and her two kiddos, adorable! It was so nice to catch up with you guys, thanks so much for letting me come over, you have cute houses and even cuter kids! We forgot to get pictures, bummer, but it was really fun!
Spring Break Happenings...
We had to keep our trips pretty short cause I only had a few days so we headed over to Cannonville to spend the night with Em. We went out to eat and had a blast staying up late just catching up on things. Em is lookin great with that little man in there! I am so excited to have another nephew! It was fun to get to play with Westyn, Treyson, and Makyndie. Treyson kept saying, "You just stay forever!" I wish I could have!
We got up and went to Escalante to spend the last night with my grandparents, and we had a good time there, Kels gave Em a pedicure and I gave her a back rub so she got the royal treatment! It was fun!
The next day we headed back to St. Johns and Jaron met me there Friday and he was the master barbequer for the weekend, he knows how to cook a mean steak! We cleaned my grandpa's grave and a few other ones since it has been five years that my grandpa has been gone, man how the time flies! We headed back to my grandma's for an awesome barbeque and it was fun to just get to hang out with family! Sorry for the long post, spring break was great, thanks to all my family for the amazing hospitality!

Nursing and Psychology

So just a funny story today, Jaron was talking to me after work about his second class that he is starting today for his psychology major at UofP. He was telling me that he was going to have to write quite a few papers and I was giving him some suggestions with the little bit of nursing/ psych knowledge, some topics he could use and all the sudden he is like, " You know, if we were driving and someone got hurt and we pulled over to help, you could patch them up and make them all better and I could be like 'OH, are you okay? How are you feeling? Do you need your mother?'" I thought that was so funny!
I hope he doesn't turn in to one of those psychobabble people that tries to analyze the hidden meaning of what I'm really saying when I say something! Jaron is always good for a laugh...

School again!
Growing up it was never weird to hear about my dad's "gory" ambulance stories around the dinner table, and while eating a steak I could still hear about someone's guts hanging out and not get grossed out, so I knew at that point that nothing would ever phase the gag reflex!
Once I started school at EA, I was doing classes so that I could get into school and human anatomy was my favorite! Our bodies are so freakin cool... So then I knew I wouldn't get bored learning about the body for the rest of my life.
And this story might make you cry so grab the tissues, or maybe it just makes me cry, i dunno, but I was in clinicals actually getting my CNA license over the summer before I moved to Mesa and we were in a nursing home for the day. We were assigned to wheel everyone in wheelchairs into the dining room so they could eat their lunch... we got everyone there and we were sitting watching everyone eat and I saw this older lady that was just sitting there not eating. I walked over and sat next to her and I motioned for the spoon on her tray so that I could help her eat and she nodded, so I picked up the spoon and started feeding her, I guess this doesn't sound all that exciting but there was this one moment when she reached down and just placed her hand on top of mine and patted it and she looked into my eyes and smiled... If I wouldn't have been sitting there I would have burst into tears because I have never had a conversation like that with no words, I could tell she appreciated the help and I was so grateful to be able to give it. I knew then and there that nursing was what I wanted to do, I wanted to help people like that every day. I have had an incredible journey through nursing school with experiences I will never forget, and I can't wait to actually start working!
P.S. Jaron started school yesterday at the University of Phoenix ground campus, free school, yay! He is going for his bachelor's in psychology... Way to go Jaron, I'm proud of you!

Happy New Year!
Well, Christmas flew by and it was fun spending time with family, I was lame and didn't get around to see anyone this year... That part was sad but we painted and re-arranged my parent's bedroom and back room so my mom could have a scrapbook room, so that pretty much took all of our time! Well worth it though, it looks great. We also found out Emilee is pregnant with baby #4 and we find out Monday what it is, I'm so excited, I love being an aunt, even though I have to be one from 800 miles away!
For New Years, Jaron got tickets to the Insight Bowl through a mission friend of his so we decided to go to that and then hit up the Mill Avenue Block Party afterwards. We had a really good time and it was the first football game that we got to sit down and watch together without him being the coach. Here are some pictures! Happy New Year everyone! We hope 2009 is a great year for you!
They had a parachute team do a five-man drop into the stadium before the game, it was cool!

I thought this picture was cool, I wanted to unscramble the letters and spell something but all I came up with was SUBFHLR- not a word really but hey...

Amazing Date, Amazing Man!

After dinner, we got back in the car and he told me I had to close my eyes because I couldn't know where we were going. I think he drove way out of his way to get where we ended up because I had no idea! He put on some music when we arrived at our destination and he said, "I'll give you one guess what we are doing." The music he played was Jon Schmidt, he is an amazing pianist and we had talked awhile back about wanting to go. I guessed that and I was right! I saw him perform at an EFY I went to in high school and I knew how cool he was so I was so excited! The concert was absolutely fantastic! He is such an awesome performer, he can have you laughing hysterically one second and crying the next. He also had a cello-ist(don't know how you spell that) that was hilarious.
I think the coolest part about the concert was that he had this family come up on stage and they all introduced themselves and then he asked the mom what she did for a living and she said that she was a stay-at-home mom and that her husband was serving in Iraq so she could be at home with her kids. Then Jon Schmidt was talking to the kids and asking them when there dad was coming home and they said next Wednesday. Then Jon says,"What if I told you someone had come home today?" Just as he said that there dad walked out on stage... The mom had arranged it a couple weeks back to surprise her kids with their dad being home early. It was so awesome. Everyone stood up and clapped (and cried) for I swear ten minutes. It was really neat to be a part of. (the crazy hair wig was for this bumble bee tuna song that he gets all in to and he said he wears the wig so he can pound on the piano with his head harder. It was so funny!

So after already being swept off my feet for the evening, it got even better... We got back in the car and once again I had to shut my eyes until we got to our next destination. So we park and Jaron hands me my phone and tells me I can open my eyes when he calls me. So kinda scary I am sitting alone in his car with my eyes closed and I have no idea where I am and it took forever for him to call! He finally did and I opened my eyes and I was at his house, so I walk up to his door and he says, "welcome to Christmas." I walk in and this is what I see...

The pictures don't do it very much justice because it was all candlelit and there was music playing... Oh man it was romantic! We ate cheesecake and drank sparkling cider and then I opened my presents from Jaron. It was a magical evening, definitely one I will never forget. Jaron thanks for planning such an awesome night. I love you!
P.S. Yes Peyton Manning is a resident in Jaron's living room!
