I got to do my first rotation in the OB department in the hospital on Friday. I was shadowing an awesome nurse and she taught me alot! We started out the day meeting all the moms and doing assessments on the new babies, I love hearing their little hearts beat! All the moms were so cute thank goodness cause I know I am going to have a hard time with the moms that really never wanted to have kids and you know they are not going to be very good mothers when they get home... But overall it was an amazing experience, it made me so excited for all of you that are having babies this year! Congratulations!

My mother in law is an OB nurse and absolutely LOVES IT! You should totally go into that when you're done with nursing school. Jace and I went to visit her at the hospital and we were watching a couple of the nurses get this one baby all cleaned up right after it was born. That just seems like such a fun job! (Minus the times when you actually have to DELIVER the baby because the doctor didn't get there in time - that's happened to my MIL twice!). You'll do great in whatever area you decide to go into though.
Thats so exciting. I loved working in the ob when I was in Navit. All the Babies were so small and cute!

What a fun job. I loved the nurses in the OB. You are in such a vulnerable position and it is nice to know there are people taking good care of you!
