Best Drive-Thru Ever!

So the other night I was in the mood for a frosty, so Jaron and I headed to Wendy's drive-thru to pick one up... I was already in a giggly mood so maybe that is why this was so funny, but anyways, we pull up to the order spot and roll down the window and this is how the conversation went:

Wendy's guy: (In like the loudest, happiest voice ever!) HELLO! WELCOME TO WENDY'S!

Jaron: (Totally caught off guard and both of us are laughing from being blown away by the man in the speaker)... HELLO...

Wendy's guy: (Again really loud) WOULD YOU LIKE TO TRY A BACONATER TODAY?

Jaron: NO, NOT TODAY...

Wendy's guy: (In the saddest most let down voice ever...) WHY NOT?

Ok, so why do you ask why not? I came for a frosty sir! Jaron and I were laughing so hard that tears were rolling down our cheeks and Jaron is trying to order and I can't stop laughing long enough to tell him what I want... This is one of those random moments that probably is not funny to the rest of you cause "you had to be there" but I had to document it. Plus it really is funny if Jaron can tell you with the voices... Anyways, that was my favorite trip to Wendy's by far!

The Foy's 2009

Well, 2009 was quite a year for Jaron and I as well as our families. We feel so blessed for all the great things that have come our way this year.
Jaron started school at the University of Phoenix to get his Bachelor's in Psychology. He will eventually get his Master's in Secondary Education so he can teach high school and coach football, his real love! He is doing well at work, which is also with UOP and I am very proud of all his accomplishments.
In May, I graduated from Mesa Community College with my degree in Nursing and passed my state boards in June so I am now an RN! A long road, but certainly worth the wait!
Our biggest accomplishment this year was that we tied the knot! Jaron and I were married August 28th, 2009 in the Mesa, AZ temple! What a blessing that was and has been to be married and sealed for time and eternity. Our wedding could not have gone any smoother, it was a wonderful experience, I would love to get married once a year just to remember all the excitement! We were able to Honeymoon on a cruise to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and we had a blast!
Jaron and our nephew, Rusty
In October, I started working for a travel nursing company and spent October, November, and December working as a substitute school nurse for 4th-6th graders, what a learning experience! Kids are so dang funny, I have some good memories from working there.
The holidays treated us well, we spent Thanksgiving in St. Johns and Christmas in Utah with Jaron's family. We left the weekend before Christmas for Utah and had a nice long week to relax and be with family! We went to a ton of movies, did a session in the Salt Lake temple, rode the new Frontrunner to the temple, had layovers in our travels in LA, Denver, and San Francisco, went to Jaron's favorite "buddy hangout" Iggy's with his two best friends and their wives, and froze our rears off! Here's some pics:

Rusty's Christmas Picture, So CUTE! He is obsessed with bull riding just like his daddy! He says "Hey Bulls" and "Yee-HAWW" all the time, it is so adorable!
Hope everyone's year was wonderful, we are looking forward to the things 2010 has in store for us!

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year for Thanksgiving Jaron and I went to St. Johns, we decided to switch off holidays and Christmas. We were the only ones that were able to make it so it was a pretty quiet holiday! We headed up Wednesday after Jaron got out of class. We lazed around all day Thursday and then had a wonderful feast at my Grandmas! Jaron was excited cause he wanted real food at a real grandmas! :> The day after Thanksgiving we decided to go to Show Low and watch movies instead of brave Black Friday... It is quite scary. We watched New Moon and then went to get lunch and ice cream and then watched The Christmas Carol in 3D. It was so awesome! I thought Jaron was gonna be sick for a minute cause it is really like you are flying around with the ghosts! We had a really good time! It was a nice relaxing weekend so I think we can make it til Christmas...

95 degrees?

Ok summer enough with you already! It is the first week of November and I could go lay out by the pool and get a tan... not cool. If you could just come back around May that would be great, I am ready for the cool fall and winter which is why I love to live in the valley! I just wish I could wear a hoodie or throw on some sweat pants when I get home, is that too much to ask?

In other news, there really isn't any! We had a fun halloween hanging out with a couple in our ward that is so awesome! We didn't get one trick-or-treater though.. I finally quit Applebee's as of Monday and I am currently subbing as a school nurse, its actually pretty fun! Something I would definitely love to do in the future. Jaron started up school again after taking a break for all the wedding happenings and last night when he got home he said he already had school burn-out... It's gonna be a long couple of years for him I fear! Life is great!

Honeymoon! Honeymoon!

We had an absolute blast on our honeymoon! I must say Jaron is a very good vacation planner! We started out with about a five hour drive to San Diego, which I must say is about the ugliest drive you can ever go on... Anyways we arrived in San Diego and much to the help of our GPS made it to our cruise ship terminal to cruise to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico!

These pictures are really out of order but my computer is being dumb, but this is us drinking delicious virgin strawberry daquaris... we are crazy like that! ha ha and I guess you will have to read and guess what all the other pictures are cause like I said, computers are so annoying sometimes!
We cruised on the Carnival Elation.. It was an awesome ship. We left Saturday, September 26th and were at sea that day and the next. We enjoyed shows and relaxing and eating so much food, holy cow there is so much food on those ships!
We got to Cabo on Monday morning and Jaron and I got up early and took the tender boat to the pier and walked around Cabo for a couple hours... we did a little shopping but it was so blazing hot and humid that Jaron got sick, and we were both soaked so we decided to go back to the air conditioning! We actually sailed away that night and then sailed back to Cabo the next day... Jaron surprised me with a shore excursion. It was the Land's End boat tour, beach and shopping one. It was so awesome! We sailed out and saw the peninsula and lover's beach and the arch at the end of the rocks, the water was so blue and beautiful! We went to a private club house and got to hang out at the beach and eat lunch. Then they took us shopping at a new mall in Cabo, which was actually the one we had gone to the day before, but oh well!
We enjoyed another day at sea and then we arrived back in San Diego... Jaron surprised me again with a two night stay at the Westgate Hotel in downtown San Diego, it was so fancy! Especially for a girl that's used to the Best Western! (such a hick...) We were able to attend the San Diego Temple and do a session, that temple is gorgeous! We also went across the bridge and visited a pier on the other side of where we were staying, it was so much fun, I love vacation! Sorry for the long post, here are all the pics...

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Jaron & Sharla FOY!

I'm a married woman! It has been a long time coming and my wedding went more perfect than I could have ever imagined! Jaron and I kept saying something has to go wrong cause this is going way too smooth!
I love being married so far, I can't believe how great it is just to not have to sleep in two seperate houses anymore! I am just going to post lots of pictures so you can see how it went... SO FUN! Erin Householder, a girl I knew from Thatcher took our wedding pictures and Taytum Waite was our photographer for our reception in St. Johns... They both did an absolutely AMAZING job, I am so happy with all of my pictures! Taytum's parents also helped us SO MUCH with doing the dropped ceiling, can I just tell you those are some awesome people, thank you again! We still have our reception in Utah this weekend, I can't wait!

Wedding thoughts...

I am getting MARRIED in four days... Holy Moly! I think you get so caught up in planning and all the things that are going on that it is easy to forget that your life is going to change forever!

Saturday I was able to go through the temple and it was an amazing experience for me. I tried to go in with a very open mind and I think that halped me relax and just enjoy it. I am grateful for the blessings of the temple, it truly is a little piece of heaven on earth.

I am so excited to start this new chapter of my life. Every girl dreams almost from the day we are born about our weddings and I am completely ready and excited to see it all come together. I am excited to be around my family and friends and share such a special day. I love you all!

And to Jaron, you are truly the love of my life and I know our life together is going to be amazing! I can't wait to call you 'husband' on Friday! YAY! I love you so much!
